Being Crafty

I have been inspired by many blogs out there. A Girl and A Glue Gun has reawaken my love of crafts. I love creating something out of things I already have. Which brings me to some cute bags for my girls. I wish I took before and during shots, but I kinda just went for it! Worked quickly was pleased with my beginner sewing skills results.
I started with a pair of size 2T jean overalls, a used light green crib sheet (that all three of my babies used), and then I finished one bag with a strap made from a dress and the other has a strap made from a receiving blanket.
I am proud of myself.

My girls love filling their bags with princesses and little ponies.

What do you think?

The Real Scoop

I am not perfect and it shows.

I am happy.

My house is a semi-organized disaster, and that's exactly how my mind is too.

I love my husband and he loves me.

I crave a clean home, well behaved helpful children, romance with my husband.

I love my kids and they love me.

I strive to make healthy choices for myself and my family...but I could do better.

I can do better, I can try harder, I can find my zen-ish dream a reality.

I just need a little help. Please.

I need a starting point and little guidance. And beautiful, knowledgeable, convenient Blog World...I am turning to you. Your job, should you choose to accept is to follow me, make me accountable, provide suggestion and encouragement, join me as I challenge myself to become the person I want to be, but never had the guts too.
No more excuses, it's time to try new techniques and put 100% into it.

I can do it...

with your help.

Thank you!

Happy Kids

I love seeing all three of my children playing happily together. My youngest wants to be able to do anything that the older two do...and she does. I love seeing their personalities develop so young and all my kids have a fantastic Sense of Humor!
Short post, but had to say it. Today I am happy that my kids get along together and truely care about each other.

Calm Relaxation Joy

I love love love cool summer mornings, cool summer nights and breezy days when the temperature doesn't top 73. Laying in a hammock looking up at the leaves and branches above while they gentle sway in the trees, feeling the cool breeze as it brushes over me. Beautiful! It's the perfect napping place! This joy inparticular occurs at my parents house and we had a great day in June that was by far one of my favorite relaxing days in a long time! To top it off, I surrounded by my family who are normally spread out hundreds of miles away from each other.

I have started this blog as a way to encourage others to find the joys in their own life. These days we are so busy with work, running errands, car pooling, raising our children. We often forget to take a break, step back and enjoy what is going on around us. Any complaining about your busy schedule or whining about the lack of perfection in your life with make to blind to some many wonderful things, no matter how big or small these things are.
No one or thing can make you happy. It is up to you to decide if you want to be a happy person each day.

"Being happy doesn't mean that everything is perfect. It means that you've decided to look beyond the imperfections."

So when you are getting ready for your day each morning, look at yourself in the mirror and decide; Am I going to be happy today, or Am I going to let any bumps I encounter in my day pull me down?
